River Rats Plein Air Group

Come on out and get your artistic inspiration from the great outdoors. Any Artsbridge member is welcome to join, just show up. There is no instruction or format for these sessions; it's just a group of artists who enjoy the camaraderie of painting or drawing with others. We meet in a wide variety of locations usually within 10 – 15 miles of Lambertville.

Sessions are now year round on Saturday mornings, weather permitting, and we may even take advantage of weekdays when the weather conditions are favorable. Winter sessions will start at 10am until 12 - 1pm, or whenever you finish. Spring, summer and fall sessions will start at 9am.

Bob Barish is the program coordinator and sends out weekly email updates announcing the painting locations. We will generally go out if the temperature is close to or above 50F, but a sunny 35 – 40F day with little or no wind will also be considered. Plein Air Only - Discussion Group

Come join us for our recently established discussion group. We meet the 1st Wednesday of every month at the River Run Gallery, Lambertville, NJ, from 7 – 9pm.

As the name implies we will be discussing topics that are directly related the unique experience of working from nature; the sights, sounds, changing light and weather conditions; sharing information on how to pack lightly and work quickly; how and where to exhibit your work.

We encourage attending artists to bring a plein air painting or artwork for presentation to the group.
