Artists of Yardley - Call for Artists

Artists of Yardley,(AOY) in Yardley, Pennsylvania announces its 1st Annual Juried Show, March 9 through March 31, 2012. Established in 2004 as an arts organization in the Yardley area, Artists of Yardley (AOY) has evolved with more than 200 artists in a full spectrum of disciplines. The AOY, a non-profit 501(c)3, is dedicated to nurturing the creative spirit of the community by educating and encouraging individuals to experience, appreciate and share in the arts.

Juror: Tricia Fagan. Ms. Fagan, has been an arts administrator working for organizations including the NJ State Council on the Arts, New Jersey Network, and Artworks; exhibitions director, arts consultant, independent curator and freelance writer. She is currently the Director of The Gallery at Mercer County Community College and Grantwriter/Outreach Specialist for the County's Culture & Heritage Commission.

Juried show open to members and non-members alike by email submission. All original media created within the last 2 years accepted (excluding free standing sculpture, video, film, jewelry, crafts and giclees prints). Accepted work must be hand delivered. Entry fee for 2 images-- $20 members, $30 non-members. CASH PRIZES AWARD.

Noyes Museum of Art - Call For Entries

The Noyes Museum of Art’s satellite gallery in Hammonton is looking for applicants for its newest Juried competition, Raw. The theme is focused on New Jersey and surrounding regions land; photographs that capture the beauty and diversity of New Jersey’s (regional) lands people, animals, water and nature are acceptable. There are $$$ prizes and a group show at the Noyes Museum of Art’s Hammonton Gallery for selected work. Juror for this competition is Wendel A. White, Professor of Photography at the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey; attached is the prospectus and application. Deadline is February 22, 2012.

The North County Branch Library in historic Clinton, NJ hosts month-long shows of many media. A popular neighborhood gathering place, the Library attracts international visitors of all ages. No fees or sales commissions are charged.

2-D art shows of up to 36 pieces, depending on size, extend throughout both floors of the Library. Art must be framed or matted, and wired for picture hook hanging. 3-D art is displayed in 4 exhibit cases of various sizes.

ARTWORKS - Call for Proposals

ARTWORKS, located in Trenton NJ, seeks proposals for exhibits in its gallery. Proposals of group shows (no individuals or two-person) may be submitted by practicing artists, faculty in art/art history departments, art/art history graduate students or community groups with an art-oriented idea.

For 2008-9, we encourage proposed exhibits of installation(s), video art/installation, artists' books, alternative photographic processes, fiber, sculpture, architecture, furniture, large-scale prints, drawings or paintings that utilize the gallery space (see dimensional info). A letter of intent describing the exhibit or idea with at least five (5) images may be submitted electronically to Exhibits chair Elise Mannella at mannella138@yahoo.com. CALL FOR ARTISTS - Gourgaud Gallery

The Gourgaud Gallery has become a center for the Arts in Cranbury. The Gourgaud Gallery Committee will continue to bring new exhibits to the Gallery each month. The Gallery will continue opening each exhibit with it's First Friday Artist's Reception Program. The GGC will continue to enhance the programming in the Gallery with musical soirees, poetic and dramatic readings, film screenings, lectures and classes.

The Gourgaud Gallery is open daily from 9AM to 4PM and on Sundays from Noon to 3PM, and on Saturdays by appointment, only. A new exhibit is installed in the Gourgaud Gallery every month, and opens with an Artist's Reception on the First Friday every month.
