The Arts &
Cultural Council of Bucks County is pleased to offer its
members free
workshops on "No Cost, Low Cost and Effective" websites on April 26th.
For convenience, the program is being offered in both upper and lower
Bucks County.
From 9:00am to 11:30am, the workshop will be given in the
Visitors' Center of Pearl S. Buck International near Dublin
(520 Dublin Road just west of Route 313). It will be repeated in the
afternoon from 1:00pm to 3:30pm at the Grundy Library, 680 Radclyffe Street in
Bristol.
The
workshops will touch on many of the basics of creating a website --
from securing a domain name and finding a server to choosing between
inexpensive template-driven designs or interviewing and hiring a
professional. Photography is another critical component of effective
websites, and the best way to create digital reproductions of art will
also be covered.
Council
coordinator David Visser, graphic artist/photographer April Zay and
website provider Eric Sparre will be on hand at each session to give
advice and take questions. Both workshops sites are equipped for WiFi,
and participants are encouraged to bring laptop computers.
Space is
limited to twelve individuals at each session and will be assigned
first-come, first-served. Registration is $25; however, it is free
to members of the Arts & Cultural Council of Bucks County. For more
information, email info@bucksarts.org or call 215.968.8229.
