Ty Hodanish Spring 2013 Workshops

Come paint with us!

"For well over a decade, Ty Hodanish's art workshops have been the place where countless students have learned the secrets of great "plein air" landscape painting".

I'm pleased to announce the schedule for this Spring's "Painting The Impressionist Landscape" classes at our studio/gallery at the Prallsville Mill.

Workshop I begins on Thursday morning, 16 May 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Workshop II begins on Saturday morning, 18 May 2013 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both workshops run for 7 consecutive weeks and are priced @ $245.00 for the entire series reflecting my desire to provide these workshops at an affordable cost.

The workshops are based on the legendary approach to "plein air" painting pioneered at the well-known Cape Cod School in Provincetown, Mass. Through a series of exercises and applications, you will understand how to paint glorious color and light in various atmospheric conditions.

Oil paint is the preferred medium. Painting excursions allow students to visit various locations in the footsteps of the famous New Hope Impressionists. The workshops are followed by a gala student art show at the gallery where each student can exhibit a finished "masterpiece".

You may register by e-mail @ tyhodanish@att.net, by telephone @ 609-397-0452 or stop by my studio on weekends (Prallsville Mill, along the river on Rt 29, Stockton, New Jersey). Reserve your spot with the tuition payment ($245) payable to The Art Colony, c/o 5563 Stony Hill Road, New Hope, Pa 18938

Visit my new web site at www.tyhodanish.com for additional information on my work and the history of the workshops.

Basic watercolor techniques such as blended washes, wet-into-wet, resists, scraping, lifting and dry brush will be applied to create still life, landscape and floral paintings.
