Tuesday 3-5pm Adults
Ongoing classes on the basics of oil, acrylic and watercolor painting open to
all levels. This class is designed for beginner and intermediate painters who
want a foundation of painting and drawing skills and explore creative styles
and techniques. This class will build confidence, skill, and style by focusing
on concepts, form, value, color theory, perspective and proportion. Working in
oil, acrylic or watercolor students may paint what they want or follow given
assignments.
5-6:30pm Children and Teens
Ongoing classes on learning the “how to” on approaching painting and drawing.
Assignments are based on various techniques of problem solving to explore your
vision and develop perceptual skills- essential to interpreting what you see.
We experiment with a variety of mediums to explore color theory, composition,
building confidence and individual style. Students will work mostly from direct
observation and their own creative thinking.
6:30-8pm Teens and Adults
Paint or draw what you want or follow given assignments to explore many
techniques. Students gain experience and develop a creative approach to
painting and drawing. Explore traditional and contemporary methods through
demos and the discussion of materials, composition, technique and color
relationships. This class is perfect for the college bound student.
Wednesday 1-2:30 For Seniors Only
(Classes are held at Pine Run Craft Barn)
