Artsbridge Children’s Art Gallery: Grand Opening

On Sunday, October 27, 3–7 pm, Artsbridge will host the Grand Opening of our Children’s Art Gallery, housed in the foyer and entrance hallway of Canal Studios.

When Artsbridge decided to moved its members’ gallery from the Linseed Building to Canal Studios at 243 N. Union Street in Lambertville, we made it a condition in our lease to use the walls in the building’s hallways and foyer as a place for children’s art.

We are opening the Children’s Gallery this October, because it marks the realization of another milestone in the development of our organization. Every Saturday in October, Artsbridge, in conjunction with Fisherman’s Mark, is offering local children a free ArtCamp. The inaugural exhibit at the Children’s Gallery will consist of the artwork that is being created at the camp. There will be drawings, windsocks, collages, and a mural. The campers and their parents will be present to discuss the projects. The public is invited. Refreshments will be served.

Artsbridge is currently developing an exhibition schedule for the Children’s Gallery in cooperation with East Amwell Elementary School, Delaware Township Elementary School, and Buckingham Friends School. It is our goal that all elementary schools of the region will use the gallery. Members who have teachingpositions or other connections with local school can contact me at 609-773-0881.
